Strategi i esport gjør comeback med CoD: WWII

Tidligere Call of Duty-spiller Ray 'Rambo' Lussier jobber for tiden hos Sledgehammer Games som 'competitive systems designer', og under en samtale med ham angående Call of Duty: WWII, spurte vi om spillets strategiske element kom til å gi CoD-esport et løft. Han hadde dette å si om saken:

"I think you kinda pinpointed the issue, which is the strategy involved in boost was very different. It was harder to watch because it was much faster, a lot of different angles created by height you could gain," sa han.

"The strategy around that is just what makes it so different. It's more about kinda rushing as a team, trading kills, while strategic boots on the ground, if a player's holding a position down on a power position then [they] can kill three or four different guys coming at him at once, something we haven't seen in the past couple of years, it's been very sporadic in strategies."

"So yeah, I definitely think WWII will be the kinda comeback to like the Black Ops 2 era where you saw a lot of strategic strategies as a team, a lot more teamplay around pushing certain areas, and it becomes more like playing chess or a board game than it is just running at your opponent, trying to outtrade them. So I think yeah, for sure, WWII will be kinda like a comeback to that strategy, that effort, in esports."
