Samurai Showdown slippes til konsoller 25. juni

SNK bringer tilbake Samurai Shodown i år, og en ny pressemelding avslørte at spillet kommer til PS4 og Xbox One 25. juni, og her la de ved en ny trailer også.

De som forhåndsbestiller spillet på PSN, Xbox Live, og andre forhandlere får Season Pass gratis frem til 30 juni, som lar deg oppleve det ekstra innholdet ved siden av de nye Dojo Mode, Story Mode, og mer inkludert i originalspillet.

"We're extremely excited to finally confirm that June 25th will see the much anticipated return of Samurai Shodown - one of the founding figures of the fighting genre," sa Koichi Toyama, Company President for SNK. "As a thank you to the fans who have stuck with us during the long wait between the franchise instalments, we're pleased to offer the first 6 months of DLC completely free of charge to anyone who buys the game and redeems the game's season pass within the first week of release, which will include four new fighters."

Dojo Mode lar spillerne slåss mot sin egen AI-avatar for å se hvor gode de er, eller så kan de laste ned andre spilleres ghosts, som kan hjelpe spillerne med å trene da AI'en lærer deres teknikker og bruker dem.

"Dojo Mode has been a franchise aspiration for the team for some time now and an evolution to the fighting genre that we're very proud of," sa SNK Lead Producer, Yasuyuki Oda. "Not only will it give players the opportunity to play against the ghosts of some of the best Samurai Shodown players in the world, but playing against your own ghost will prove an amazing tool to learn more about your own playstyle."
