Alle NA LCS-lagene er offentliggjort!

Det har lenge svirret rykter om hvilke lag som er med i North American League of Legends Championship Series, og hvem som ikke er det, og nå har de 10 lagene endelig blitt offentliggjort.

Det er seks lag som kommer tilbake og de er som følger: Cloud9, TSM, CLG, Team Liquid, FlyQuest og Echo Fox. Disse får selskap av OpTic Gaming.

Alle de tre siste lagene eies av NBA-lag og er som følger:100 Thieves som er tilnkyttet Cleveland Cavaliers; Clutch Gaming tilknyttet Houston Rockets og Golden Guardians som er tilknyttet Golden State Warriors.

"We believe the ten teams joining the NA LCS are the best possible blend of partners for the league," skriver Riot.

"Representing talent, passion, and fan focus from within the esports community as well as expertise and legacy experience from traditional sports, these are dedicated, well structured, and ambitious organisations ready to take on the battle for NA LCS glory. Let the battle commence!"

Du har sikkert lagt merke til at det er en tungvekter som mangler, nemlig Immortals. De har bekreftet at de ikke ble inkludert i LCS' partnerskapsprogram, til tross for at de er et av de største lagene som finnes der ute, og til tross for at de kvalifiserte seg for Worlds i år. Dette er hva CEO Noah Whinston har å si om saken:

We are proud of the team and brand that our staff, players, and fans built together. Although we are closing this chapter in LCS, we are excited about many other initiatives already underway, and look forward to sharing those details with our dedicated fans as soon as we can."
